dwindling

i made a list 2 weeks ago of all the stuff that i needed to get done to wrap up my classes. the list now stands at 3 items! can’t hardly belive i’m almost there! hope to have everything wrapped up by the end of this week! whoohoo! on to the break! going to the library today to pick up my first set of fun reading. can’t wait to get my mind back in a good story and out of business strategy! i’m also ready some time to rest my mind and focus more clearly on what god is trying to say to me these days. sometimes i think my mind is so busy that i miss out on what he want to say to me. the list for school is dwindling but my list of stuff to do on break is building. what to do? always so much to do!

flowers

okay all of you with a green thumb…i need some help picking flowers to plant at my house. i am going to plant this weekend and have no idea what i’m doing. i’ve been in my house 4 years this fall and have never planted flowers! i know….its about time! so here’s the deal. i get afternoon sun in the front of my house and really don’t have that much space. i want to plant a few green plants and then a very colorful mix of flowers. i’m just hoping i don’t kill everything. what are your recommendations?

i’m so thankful for friends! this week has been challenging and my friends have listened to me, prayed for me, pushed me, and just flat out loved me! thanks girls!

wrapping it up

it always feels good to come to the end of a long semester however i’m about to go nuts about now! it seems like the good feeling that comes with finishing is a long way off when in reality is 12 days away. that’s 12 days and tons of work! the lord always teaches me about himself during these times. if i choose to continue to put him first and seek him, he always rewards that investment and time seems to multiply. i desperately need to stay connected to him right now so i’m trusting that he will come through on his promise again. i’m finding that he is faithful to his word. not necessarily a new revelation but a characteristic of god i need to experience in these busy and uncertain days. my meditation verse for this week is jer 29:11-13. i’ve always loved vs 11 but just this week have begun to understand that knowing the incredible plans god has for me comes when i pray and seek HIM with all my heart. goes back to the god hunting instead of voice hunting. yes god i’m getting the message!
