Friendship lasting over 15 years- PRICELESS
my friend leah came to nashvegas for memorial day weekend. her sweet husband kept the kids and set her free for a weekend alone. we had such a great time together. we met in 6th grade sunday school when we hid from our teacher in the cabinets- she was just not meant for 6th grade girls. friends for life! i’m so blessed to have someone who has walked with me through the awkward middle school years, the scary times of high school, the adventurous college years, and then into adulthood. we have been through alot but the lord has kept us close despite the miles! i love you friend!

travel idea
21 05 2007have you seen the movie “the holiday”? if you haven’t the main story centers on 2 women who exchange houses for the christmas holiday. it was an ok movie, but the concept of the plot is what i found most interesting. i was reading a travel article on cnn.com today that peaked my interest in this new phenomenon again. i am seriously considering posting my house on homeexchange.com. it’s $99.95 for the year, but they guarantee you’ll arrange at least one exchange during the year or they extend your listing for another year. i checked it out and there are a few places in the middle tn area. this would be a great way to see places i have always wanted to see and not have the cost of lodging. you can exchange in the us or internationally. i’m going to pray about it and see what god has to say!
have you ever participated in a home exchange? what was your experience?

big weekend
18 05 2007my family is passing a huge milestone this weekend. kristin, my youngest sister, graduates from beech high school tomorrow night. it has been a long road but we will officially move out of kid mode and into adult world after that girls walks the stage tomorrow. it is kind of a weird feeling, but as all of us get older it only gets more fun. there is 10 years between me and kristin but sometimes it doesn’t feel like that many years. she is witty and smart so conversations with her can have me laughing and thinking hard in a matter of minutes!
kristin, i’m proud of you! believe me life is just beginning. enjoy every second of college!
