in the loss column

week 3 of the nfl season is in the books and my fantasy teams did terrible this week. i went 0-4 this week and scored the least amount of points i think i’ve ever scored. i’ve already been hit by the injury bug and there just doesn’t seem to be any decent free angents available to fill the holes. hopefully i’ll do better next week. those of you who know me, know that i HATE to lose. you better belive i’m going to be restocking, rearranging, and realigning this week!

home again

yesterday flew by and i didn’t get a chance to recap our last day in cali. we spent the morning at the san diego zoo before heading to the airport. i can’t remember the last time i went to the zoo. not just something that you do my ourself or with a group of adults. i need to find some kids to rent so i can do some of these types of things. anyway…it is a beautiful place with tons of unique animals. i was most fascinated by the pandas. they were very interesting to watch. got home last night about 8:30. we were out there just long enough to get used to the time, so i had a hard time sleeping last night and are REALLY hard time getting up this morning. so hard that i slept right through my alarm. oh well!

down time

what’s a vacation without a little relaxation. you would think that we would be running again today but seriously we haven’t stopped since we left nashville. the traffic has been unbearable and the last thing we wanted to do was spend more time on the road this morning. mom is working while we lay around. evidence below. as soon as she’s done, we’re going to make a stop at our second ikea (why not where there are so many in the area!) and get a real dinner tonight. gotta go. there’s a liitle more laying around before check-out…

well not really but we just were in the area with people who do. we spent the day in la taking a tour of the stars homes including beverly hills and bel-air. it was fun to see the huge houses and unbelievable surroundings for the countries most famous people. after the tour we headed over to ucla. huge campus and incredible bookstore. i’m sure you’ll see us sporting our gear! on the road by 2 so we could be back at our hotel by 4. plenty of time right?? think again. the traffic here is RIDICULOUS!!! it took us 1 hour 40 minutes to go 73 miles. we made it in time for my mom’s conference but it was close. out rental car has a gps and i’m wondering how i’ve lived without one and will be sure to add this to my christmas list. we named out gps “janet” and she has helped us navigate this incredibly crazy area! here’s a few pics from today. most of the good pics are on mom’s computer which now has a dead battery : (
