the stuff from my office is ready to head to its new home in colorado springs. it’s funny how over 7 years can fit in 4 boxes. i guess i travel lightly at work. my house will be a whole different story. when the stuff was moved the dust was disgusting so i took time to wipe everything down. the next person shouldn’t have to deal with that. it’s still surreal that i only have 1 day left at lifeway…next wed. this has been a great ride, but i’m ready for the next adventure….
part of my christmas eve post was about my friend who was in labor. isabella did make her debut to the world and to tv on christmas day. leah and i have been friends since were were 12 and used to hide from our sunday school teacher every sunday. so thankful for her beautiful new baby!
so my parents have been telling me for weeks that they were getting me a beagle for christmas. for those of you who know me you know that is one things that would NEVER be in my christmas list. all our gifts are numbered and we only open one present at a time. all the gifts had been opened and my mom says she has to go to the garage to get one last gift. she walks in with a kennel and and inside was my new puppy….
every year i serve in the preschool at my church. this year was one of my favorites because i had 3 year olds and we were able to make a couple of crafts and talk about jesus. we made a nativity scene and talked about every player as we used our glue sticks and placed each player in just the right place even if that meant a shepherd goes on the roof of the stable! i ended my hour in room 115 singing songs with 3 kids piled on my lap. serving is the biggest blessing. so glad that i was reminded by the kiddos that jesus is the resaon for the season. merry christmas!
p.s. just got a call from my dear friend in nc to tell me she’s in labor with her 3rd child. looks like isabella burton is going to make her debut on christmas eve!!!
what a day….saw my first snow of the season, taught my last connect group, said goodbye to some of the sweetest women i know, won my first fantasy football championship, showed my house for the first time to a fabuluous prospect, hanging with my family. the presents are wrapped so i guess i’m officially ready for christmas! merry christmas all!
